STUDIO POLICIES & ETIQUETTE

By booking into any classes or events, you agree and accept these studio policies and the full terms and conditions below.

STUDIO POLICIES:

Payments:
All class fees, course payments, deposits, practice times, event bookings and trial classes are strictly non-refundable and non-transferrable between terms. Switching to another course/timeslot from the course you are already enrolled in is not allowed within 2 weeks prior to the term start date.

Deposits
We are unable to reserve spaces in courses without a $130 deposit payable through our website or at reception. Once your $130 deposit is paid, the remaining $120 is payable at the first class. EFTPOS and cash is accepted (the studio does not carry change so please bring the exact amount). If unable to attend the first week of term, you will be provided with details to pay the remaining fee electronically. Failure to pay within 24 hours may result in your spot being given to another student and full payment required upfront for future enrolments. Students will also be unable to re-enrol in future terms without paying owing remaining fees from past terms.

Make-up classes:
If you are booked into an 8-week course and cannot make a class, you are welcome to attend a free “make-up class” in another timeslot provided the class is not full and before the term ends. Please email or contact us on social media to organise your make-up class. Practice time cannot be used as a make-up class.

No hand jewellery:
Strictly no hand-jewellery, including but not limited to: rings, bracelets & watches are to be worn during class.

Warm-up:
For safety & mobility reasons, classes always start with a 15-25 minute warm-up. Failure to participate in warmup or arriving 5 minutes or more late to class may result in you being unable to participate.

Student instructing policy:
Any students that take actions to instruct another student; whether it be verbal cueing, demonstrating tricks or spotting, without the consent of the class instructor can be asked to remove themselves from the studio/event. Our instructors are specifically trained to instruct safely, and we take our students safety very seriously.

Levelling up:
Students must be able to confidently & safely perform all the pre-requisite moves in order to move up. A poster of the pre-requisite moves can be found in the studio. If students are unsure, please ask the instructor.

Bringing guests:
Children (under 18) and anyone who is not enrolled in the class are not allowed to attend classes or stay at the studio during classes. However, during week 8 (show-week), students are allowed to invite their family, partners, and friends to watch their class. This does not include children.

Bullying:
The studio has zero tolerance to bullying, hate speech, aggression, and unnecessary conflict (physical and or/verbal) towards staff and students during classes/studio events and on any form of social media.

Sickness:
Please do not attend classes if you are sick or starting to feel unwell. If you are sick and attend class, you will be asked to leave immediately. Any missed classes can be made-up by attending another class for free before the term ends.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE:

Parking
You are welcome to park inside the studio complex as opposed to the street. Please do not block any warehouse doors/garages and keep the main driveway clear for other businesses. Street parking is also available with designated bays along Milford St.

Studio Heels
For safety reasons, any heels on display at reception are not for use by students. This includes any heels in the storage cabinet which are the instructors personal belongings. Only heels made for pole dancing are permitted to be worn in class if not dancing barefoot.

Before Class
  • Please arrive to class on time. Missing out on warm up is dangerous and can cause injury.
  • If you arrive early, you are welcome to sit in our reception area – please do not use any free poles or make your way to the pole area. Please keep your voice down and be mindful of any classes that may be running.
  • Please keep your belongings with you until the class has commenced.
  • If doing a make-up class, please let the instructor know at the start of class. If the class is full you may have to share the teacher pole. Please do not use any poles reserved for students enrolled in that class.

During Class
  • Once class has commenced, please move your belongings and shoes to a cube in the storage area.
  • Please remove any rings, bracelets and watches and put them with your belongings.
  • Please be mindful of others and do not talk whilst the instructor is talking.
  • During warm up, please follow the instructor unless modifying exercises due to injury. The instructor knows what moves you will be attempting later in the class and will be doing exercises to help with these moves.
  • Please do not attempt pole moves whilst the instructor is demonstrating/explaining how to do them. This is distracting for the other students, and you may miss out on hearing/seeing how to perform the moves safely and correctly.
  • Please do not film the class, however filming yourself is allowed. If other students are in the background of your video, please ask them if they are okay with being filmed. If you have a tripod, please set it up in an area that will not be in the way of other students.
  • Please do not teach over the instructor. Our instructors have years of experience and have been trained in how to explain/demonstrate moves safely and correctly. Teaching over the instructor can be frustrating to both the other students and the instructor who wants to ensure everyone gets the most out of classes.

After Class
  • Please wipe your poles down and return the spray and cloth back to the storage area.
  • Once class has finished, please make your way to the reception area and be courteous of any classes about to start.
  • Please collect your belongings and return any studio tripods, yoga mats, blocks and safety mats back to their original place ready for the next students.
